Crystal Loyd

Have you ever caught yourself running away from a challenge, only to realize that what you're avoiding could be your greatest opportunity for growth? That's exactly where I found myself, trading the comfort of a banking career for the uncertainty of following my true calling. This episode of No More Running is a heart-to-heart about taking courageous leaps toward intentional living and spiritual alignment. Hear my story as we tackle the pressing need to embrace life's difficulties and uncover the transformative power of faith and intention in overcoming them.

What needs to be cut off or pruned in your life, in your 2024? What needs to go in your life? Sometimes the old needs to be cut off to make way for the new in your life. Maybe at one time it did bear fruit but now it doesn’t and it’s causing you to die mentally/to die spiritually/to die financially, to die more and more every day. Maybe there is something that God is waiting for you to cut out/off to give you something better, because he has a better plan.

Expect to leave this episode with a renewed spirit, ready to let some things go,  and cut off the things that are standing in between you and God.

Speaker 1:

Have you ever found yourself running? Running mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially and even running physically from things in this life. This is no More Running the podcast for women. Hello, I'm your host, crystal Lloyd, and I've been known to run and still find myself running from the things in this life. Running from God, His calling, his purpose for my life. Running from change that's within my control, that needs to be made, or any type of change. Running from hard or even good or even just simple little things in this life. And God said to me Crystal, if you will stop running and surrender, there are things that we can accomplish together. Maybe you find yourself running as I have. I want you to know that you're not alone. Let's go from running to no More Running together. Let's get started with prayer, holy Spirit, we invite you to be a part of the podcast, the lessons, the life coaching and the sharing of our stories. Let it be known today that you are God. God, help us to go from running in this life, from whatever it may be that we're running from, from running to no More Running. In Jesus' name, welcome to no More Running.

Speaker 1:

I'm your host, crystal Lloyd. I'm your expert runner, speaker, life coach and now your mental health advocate. What are you running from? God is calling His purpose your past, your current situation, or even something that may be coming, and you know that's coming. What are you running from? I'm here to empower you to go from running to no More Running by focusing on, by focusing on growing spiritually, first and foremost I think that is the most important Growing mentally, in our mental health, growing in our confidence with God and ourselves and, as we step, not run into our callings, into alignment with God's calling, with His presence, with His help, to go from running to no More Running. I'm so glad you're here. Welcome On today's episode.

Speaker 1:

I have a question for you Do you want to go from running to no More Running in 2024? I know you do because you are here. You are listening to the no More Running podcast. So yes, of course, crystal, I want to go from running to no More Running in all things in my life. Then I'll have other questions for you. So you say yes to that one question. But then the second question is what needs to be cut off, what needs to be let go, or what needs to be just cut away a little bit so that you will grow in your calling, grow in your relationship with God, grow in all things, in all areas, your mental health. What must go? No-transcript. What must need to be cut away or to be cut off completely?

Speaker 1:

Okay, so some of you know that I left my banking job of 12 years, my banking career of 12 years, back in September. Some of you are like what? I hadn't heard this. Well, I hadn't talked about it much. I wanted to, but haven't talked about it too too much. So, but I felt like God told me to go and because I'm a runner, I stayed longer than I should have because I wanted to make sure that I was not running and that I had heard God correctly. I wanted to make a wise decision for myself, for my family. But I thought and I knew that God had told me to go.

Speaker 1:

First of all, I left because I was becoming bitter. I was becoming a bitter, angry woman and my mental health was declining because of the job that I had and I had to let it go. I had to cut it off. And then, second, I left because I felt God calling me to help my daughter watch my grandbaby part-time as much as I can. And then I want to grow this podcast. I want to grow no more running business. So that is the reason that I had left TSB.

Speaker 1:

It was very hard, because it was a step of faith for me, because every two weeks I knew I was getting paid, I knew the money would be there. And to step into something that I'm not even sure if the income is going to come or not, and how am I going to help my husband provide for our home, our family, it was scary, but I felt God telling me to go, to give me permission to go. And let me tell you, since leaving, I have grown mentally so much and the more time that I am away, the healthier I get. But I will tell you I had to get some help. So I am in counseling just for my mental health and not just my mental health but my marriage and then just for myself, because I want to grow. I honestly, honestly want to go from running to no more running.

Speaker 1:

And when I say I'm your expert runner, I am because I've done it all wrong. I've done it all wrong, but I am, I have learned, I am learning, and now I want to help you, you and me. I want us to do this together. I want us to go from running to no more running together, but what needs to be cut off, what must go, what needs to be cut away? And first I want you to make a list you know, or get your post-it notes and you know how I like post-it notes or your whiteboard and make a list of things that must go. Maybe it's that unhealthy relationship that you have been hanging on to, and I will tell you that God cannot bless you with the new, maybe a godly relationship, if you are not willing to let go and like even my job. Maybe God wants to bless me in this ministry, in this business. Now we're running podcasts and coaching and all of this. Unless I let go of the old, he can't bless me with new. So think about that. Is it unhealthy foods? Maybe this year you want to go from running to no more running in your health? You know that you have habits of unhealthy foods in your family, in your life, and it is making your health decline day after day after day.

Speaker 1:

And think about this Our phones, our, you know, social media. Okay, I'm not against social media because I like it and I use it. I love seeing people's pictures and, of course, I love posting pictures about my grandbaby as well and my family, and also posting the podcast hey, listen, listen. So maybe not completely cut out, but maybe you can cut some hours or time off of how much you spend on social media or in you know any social media Instagram, facebook, you know all of that stuff. So think about that, just so that you can grow. Maybe it would help you grow mentally to stay off of social media so much, because sometimes being so involved on social media affects our mental health. So think about that, maybe that you put that on your list, or maybe you put that on your, your posted note.

Speaker 1:

But also your business. Think about your business. I mean what needs to go that We'll help your business to grow, what needs to go to help your podcast grow, your coaching business. You know I want to grow my coaching business. You know I'm the expert runner. I want to help runners. I want to help runners go from running to no more running in their relationship with God, in their calling. You know, in all things I want to be here. I want to be that coach that empowers them, to empower you all. So, but also you know what needs to go to in your money habits or your spending habits. You know that will will help you financially.

Speaker 1:

You know I had shared on a podcast that I did with Angela Duncan, the author of empower your money, that we, our family, has set some no spending dates. And so we've got that. And I'm telling you, you know we're good at this until, like, a big snowstorm comes, and then it's, you know, you got to go to the grocery store, which I hate, hate, hate. And yes, I try and use the curbside as much as possible, but then, of course, you got everybody else using it, and then you know you have no time to get in that day. So, but, anyways, bye my trail, and but. And then you know it's your no spend days, so then you have to. You know you have to end up spending it on. Yeah, so maybe this week I'm losing on the no spending because of this. No, it's this, no fault. It's funny how we blame our money spending habits on something else or someone else.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but what needs to go, what must be cut off to help you grow in your finances? Think about that. Make that part of your list. Okay, what needs to be cut off? Now? This right here, I think, is the most important thing. What needs to be cut out completely or cut away to help you grow spiritually, to help you grow in your relationship with God and by far this is the most important relationship that you need to make sure that you are cutting off or having things to go or to cut away on things so that you and God are aligned in your relationship, in your calling, in your purposes, and it all thinks God. So that, to me, is the very, very most important relationship that you need to make sure that, whatever it takes, do whatever it takes to grow in your relationship in 2024. Anything that is standing in the way of your relationship with God, it must go. It must be cut off or cut away. What needs to be cut off so that you can step into your calling, whatever God is calling you to do, what do you need to do, what must go so that you will step into that purpose, into that calling, and that you know you heard God call you and you have been running away from like I did for years because I didn't feel like I had permission. But what is the thing that must go that will help you to step right into that calling, that purpose. Think about that. Put that on your list.

Speaker 1:

You know, I used to be a Sunday school teacher and I did it for kids. Yes, in the end, that was not my gift or my talent, so, but I did it for the young adults after my husband needed somebody to do that. And so I and young adult, I mean it was my age, you know we called ourselves young adults. I don't know how much young adult you know we really were, but young adults it was. You know, different ages there, no-transcript. I did that, you know, for Sunday School, and I wouldn't have them to do homework as a Sunday School teacher. Okay, this is your homework this week, and so this is your homework I'm giving you as your mental health advocate and your life coach. This is your homework. You'll make that list. Just think about it. You know something that I'm referring back to her podcast too. You have to go listen to that if you've not heard that, with Angela Duncan is she had said that it's.

Speaker 1:

It is great that I am thinking about this. I'm looking at my finances and then. So think about this. You know, make your list, and I want you to think about what is going to help you grow spiritually, what's going to help you grow mentally and in your relationships as well. You know me and my husband's been married 27 years and we still need help from a counselor for things, and so this is a relationship that you know I want to make work. I want it to work, I want it to grow, I want it us to become even more healthier in our relationship, in our marriage. I don't want us just to be surviving, I want us to be thriving in our relationship, in our marriage, and I want to learn new things and how I'm going to grow, also mentally. I love the times where I just, you know, do therapy myself, because I want to grow mentally this year. I really want to make it. To make it I don't know make it work this year for my relationship with God, my relationship with my children and you know and my calling, and so I want to go from running to no more running.

Speaker 1:

Also, I just want you to pray over this list. You know I start, okay, god, these are some things I know that must, must go and needs to be cut out or cut away, but I will tell you this you cannot do this all in one day. It's going to be a process and you can't do this alone. You first need God, and then you need, possibly, a life coach to help you. That's why I'm here, so you can reach out info at crystalloycom and say Crystal, I cannot do this alone, I need your help, and that's okay. That is okay. And then also, if you're like Crystal I heard you say that you're in counseling you're in therapy as well. Who are you doing therapy with? Reach out to me and I can even share a link with you that will help you get two free weeks of therapy or counseling for yourself.

Speaker 1:

So think about that, pray about that, but think about it. Ask God what must go, and then make that list and then put it before the Lord and says Okay, god, I can't do this alone, I need your help. God, I cannot do this alone, I need your help. So that's some things I want you to think about for this new year 2024. And we're still early in the new year. Don't even think for a second that it is too late, that I cannot cut things out of my life or even out of my mental health, or you know things is too late for things to go this year. No, you still have time. You have plenty of time. Even if it's December 31st, you still have time to cut things out of your life, to help you grow, to help you go spiritually, mentally, in all things.

Speaker 1:

So, friends, I hope that this podcast blesses you and remember, don't forget okay, don't forget to ask God for the details of your 2024. And if you haven't listened to that podcast, go back. It's the very first one of 2024, how God gave Noah, noah, noah, the details of how to build the ark. And so maybe you go back and you ask God how do I build my 2024? How do I build this list that I know that I need to work on? And how do I work on this? Lord, give me the details. I love you, friends, until next time, hey, don't forget.
